According to the Spanish daily newspaper "DIARIO DEL FESTIVAL", Buddha Collapsed Out Of Shame, directed by Hana Makhmalbaf has been voted by the audience as the best film of the 55th San Sebastian Film Festival until now.
Every year San Sebastian International Film Festival, which takes place from 20-29 of September in Spain, will award a film selected by its audience, as their favorite picture of that year with the “Audience award”.
According to the “EL DIARIO VASCO”, one of the main daily Spanish newspapers, published on Thursday 27th of September 2007; Hana Makhmalbaf ‘s "Buddha" and "Eastern Promises" directed by the Canadian director David Cronenberg have been voted as the two top films of the festival by the critics of the Spanish press.
The winner will be announced on Saturday 29th of September during the closing ceremony of the festival.
