Chengiz Aytemotov Hall in Bishkek House of Cinema was host to the ceremony honoring Makhmalbaf Film House. The ceremony opened with a speech by Aytemotov, the renowned Kirghiz writer commenting on the works of Makhmalbaf Film House.
The films ‘Salam Cinema’, ‘A Moment of Innocence’, ‘Gabbeh‘, ‘Door’, and ‘Sex and Philosophy’ by Mohsen Makhmalbaf, ‘The Day I Became a Woman’ and ‘Stray Dogs’ by Marziyeh Meshkiny, ‘Apple’, ‘Blackboard’ and ‘At Five in the Afternoon’ by Samira Makhmalbaf and ‘How Samira Made the Blackboard’ by Maysam Makhmalbaf along with ‘The Day My Aunt Was ill’ and ‘Joy of Madness’ by Hana Makhmalbaf were shown.
