This year, without a shadow of a doubt, this film couldn’t be anything else but THE PRESIDENT by Mohsen Makhmalbaf. He is known as one of the most influential filmmakers and founders of the new wave of Iranian cinema in the world today.”

“An international co-production shot in Georgia, The President is a gripping and inventive film, which echoes real-life events in a beautiful cinematic fashion…”

The President started its theatrical release in Ireland from July the 17th and it is ought to hit the cinema’s across UK in mid-August this year.

Earlier this month Mohsen Makhmalbaf traveled to Dublin for the Irish premiere of the film and took part in a Q&A session with the audience.
